With tournament rules having a mandatory slide rule across junior competition the question was posed about the direction of the body when a player slides. Our rules are not specific in this matter and as such the CLSC suggest the following interpretation. In the lower age groups when advancing to a base a feet first slide would be preferred and when retreating to a base a head first slide is allowed.
